How do I reserve Rustic Timbers Venue for my event?
To reserve your date you will need to fill out a contract and make a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 which goes toward your full venue rental. This can all be done electronically. We accept payments by credit card, debit card, cash, check or money order. Payments can be done on the phone, in person,sent in the mail, or online here at our website.
Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?
Tours are by appointment only. We would love to show you the available outdoor ceremony sites and our beautiful reception barn to discuss the details of your event. The easiest way to schedule a tour is by booking it on our website here. Of course you can always call or message Kim or Bob at 316.778-0270.
Do you limit the hours I get for my reception?
Absolutely not. Your time is yours to use for decorating, ceremony, reception and clean up.
Can I use any vendors I like?
Yes, you are able to bring in any vendor you would like. They do need to be approved by our staff and the bartenders must be licensed and insured.
What is your alcohol policy?
If you are wanting to serve alcohol at your event you must hire a licensed and insured company. We do allow you to bring in your own alcohol but again it must served by a licensed and insured company. Your vendor of choice must be approved by our staff. For all events serving alcohol we provide security on property for safety.
Can I come early to decorate?
You are allowed access to the barn at 9 a.m., we will have set your tables and chairs so the room will be ready for you. If Linen's are included in your package or if you have rented from us they will be on your table nice and steamed. Ready for you to decorate. If you you are a Saturday rental and need to be in the day before for any reason, you will need to do the full weekend rental. In some cases, additional decorating hours can be purchased for Thursday.
Will Rustic Timbers staff help set-up my decor?
If you have rented linens or they are included in your package these will be set up. Wood slices and/or lanterns can also be set up by us. We feel it would not be appropriate for our staff to set-up personal items for your event. Only you know exactly how you want everything to look and we don't want to get in the way of that.
Do you have air conditioning and heating?
Can you say ice cold? You bet we have air conditioning. On those hot July and August days you will be nice and cool inside. Winter weddings are warm and cozy with our heating too.
Do you have separate bridal and groom dressing?
Of course. We have a beautiful bridal suite area inside the barn. A separate air conditioned groom shed
Do you have a kitchen?
Unfortunately we don't. Our prep area has counter tops, sink, refrigerator, ice machine, and microwave. (2) 8 ft Buffet tables are included
What is the building capacity?
Our zoning limits us to 150 guests.
Are there any lodging options close by or available at Rustic Timbers?
Sorry there are no sleep overs at Rustic Timbers, but Goddard has Roadway Inn and West Wichita has several options that are extremely easy to access off Kellogg
What type of tables and chairs to you offer?
We have (19) 60" round tables with wooden chiavarri chairs. A 42" round sweetheart table and 8ft rectangles for head table! Additional 6' rectangle, and hand made gift tables and desert table too.
Do you provide tableware, cups, napkins etc. ?
No. You will need to bring in your own tableware,cups, napkins etc. We do however have lots of dish containers that you can use.
Am I able to have my rehearsal there?
We include one free hour for you to rehearse on Mon - Thurs,. Friday rehearsal is only available with the weekend package. Rehearsal time is scheduled based on availability of our other events. Time slots for rehearsal depend on how many events are scheduled that weekend. You are welcome to schedule your free hour on another day of the week, or many of our couples are choosing to rehearse off site. The best way to guarantee access the day before for the rehearsal and decorating is with the full weekend rental.
Do we have to set up our own chairs and tables or take them down and clean up?
Of course not! We want to take this load off of you, so when you arrive, the initial setup of tables and chairs will be done. The only clean up you are responsible for is what you bring in to decorate, food and alcohol removal.
